All Politics Are Local: NC Representative Ray Russell Reports on First Year in NC General Assembly




This summer’s Civil Conversation program features NC Representative Ray Russell, who represents House District 93 for Watauga and Ashe Counties. He will speak on Sunday, August 18 at 5 pm at the American Legion Building in Blowing Rock on the topic, “All politics are local.”

Representative Russell will report on his first year working in the North Carolina General Assembly.

Ray Russell has been a computer science professor at Appalachian State University since 1991. He is also well-known as the founder and president of RaysWeather.com. Over the years, he has been involved in a wide range of professional projects and civic organizations.
