Register for March 18th Rep. Virginia Foxx Town Hall

Details have been set for the town hall for this Tuesday, March 18th at 7 pm--a chance to meet with U. S. Representative Virginia Foxx (or an empty chair if she refuses to attend). Either way, this is a chance for members of U.S. District #5 to share their concerns about the harm being inflicted across this nation. Special speakers are planned as well.

Seating is limited, so to guarantee a seat, please register via this mobilize link: https://www.mobilize.us/indivisiblewatauga/event/762891/

Update 3/16/2025: All seats have been reserved. You can choose to stand outside the venue to demonstrate concern and take any unclaimed seats or watch the livestream on their facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/Indivisible.Watauga

The Blowing Rock Persisters endorse this event, which is sponsored by Watauga Indivisible and open to all.

Below is the Indivisible Code of Conduct, which guide expectations for this gathering.

We're all in this together to create a welcoming environment. We will treat everyone with respect. Healthy debates are natural, but kindness and courtesy is the necessary antidote to hate and intolerance.

2. No Hate Speech or Bullying

Make sure everyone feels safe. Bullying of any kind isn't allowed. No offensive comments related to gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, religion; no sexual images in public spaces, real or implied violence, intimidation, oppression, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical contact, or unwelcome sexual attention will be tolerated.

3. Members Agree to Non-Violent Behavior

We are committed to peaceful and non-violent behavior. We request that members respect all relevant laws as they exercise their right to assemble, speak out, and petition their leaders for change. We will work to facilitate the safety of everyone involved. By joining, you agree that you will not use physical or verbal violence or aggression towards any person or group. You will not destroy or damage property.

4. Members Adhere to Indivisible Watauga Ideals
