Details on the April 5 Hands Off Rally

A few details about tomorrow's rally:

The HANDS OFF parade and rally in Boone on Saturday April 5 will gather first at the grassy area behind the Turchin Center (423 W King St) at 1:30 pm. At 2 pm, we march a half mile down the sidewalk on the north side of King Street to Water Street then turn right to take Water Street north to Queen Street, then left to Queen Street west into the parking lot between the court house and the county administration building. There will be a full safety team, parade leaders, and medics to guide everyone safely along the parade route. Speakers and special guests will be at the rally.

Bring water, sunscreen, and a hat. The noise and crowd would be too overwhelming for pets, so it is wiser to leave them at home.

Free parking is at College Street Parking Deck 218 College St, Peacock Parking Lot 461 Howard St, Rivers St Parking Deck 461 Rivers St. A safety team member wearing a neon yellow vest at the corner of Water St and Queen St can provide guidance for handicap drop-off.

This rally is one of over a thousand rallies planned nationwide--if you are concerned about what has been happening, join one near you to say Hands Off our constitutional rights, Hands Off Medicaid, Hands Off our personal data, Hands Off our national parks, Hands Off libraries and museums, Hands Off medical research, Hands Off...everything!

You can learn more about options in other parts of the country at the Hands Off 2025 website.
