What to Know About the Republican Budget Passed July 3 2025

With Republican majority control of all branches of our government, the massive (and deadly) Republican budget bill in July 2025 was always highly likely to pass, but it is a devastating outcome nonetheless. The details and implications of this budget will continue to unfold, negatively affecting the lives of almost every American. Here are some helpful links to reports on what Representative Virginia Foxx and Senator Ted Budd voted FOR. In fact, Foxx took the lead in urging her colleagues to vote for it (the ones who didn't mind harming people unlucky enough to be born without wealth but hesitant to add $3.3 trillion to our deficit) "This legislation is the embodiment of the America First agenda and we would all do well to remember that,” Foxx said. “Failure at this critical juncture is not an option. This clock is ticking, the president and the American people are waiting” (quoted in Newsline).

Please note Foxx's use of the phrase "America First," a slogan historically embraced by the KKK, among others.
